BEHIND THE HOUSE | BEYOND THE TREES : A curated selection of short films by Miguel Llansó and Eric Uguet.
Legend Trips and Lanzadera Films present “Behind the house, beyond the trees”, a collection of weird and mysterious short films shot by Miguel Llansó and Eric Uguet with the magical forests of Madrid as a common backdrop.
For any outsider, Madrid is mostly known for its party culture and historic architecture; however, unbeknownst to visitors, it is a city surrounded by dense forests with strong trees and green shrubs, shamelessly held back by hideous housing blocks – flagship emblem of a rotting corrupt economy. In an effort to fight the superficiality of the rapidly-creeping digital lifestyle, native Madridian film makers Miguel Llansó & Eric Uguet bring this magical landscape back to life, each focusing on their own personal perceptions but with a common thread: through their forests flow hallucinogenic paths and dreamy situations that lead to intense vital experiences. Conceived as a stimulating creative competition, this curated selection of short films invite us to immerse in the profound nature of the woods: A viewing experience full of vibrant colors, strange sounds, eerie shadows and a twisted sense of humor. Something like a journey into the darkness of the night with a mischievous spirit guide. These two childhood friends invite you to meet them behind their house and beyond the trees.
