Friday, April 3, 2015, 8:00 pm, $7-$10

RWATA presents, recent and old shorts by Bay Area Experimental filmmaker Ryan Wicks .
“Rainbow’s Edge” – 25 minutes
What really happened that night, when several of Charles Manson’s followers went on a vicious killing spree, caught in a tormented haze of LSD, bewildered and ungrounded from their own subconscious reality? We’ll try and have a breakdown together as we tear through the carnage of our dimensional void and explore the psyche at the edge of the rainbow: a psychedelic conspiracy can-packed in horror.
“Asterix” – 7 minutes
The MySpace generation discusses, in existential detail, the differences and polarities surrounding the idea of reality in today’s climate of social media.
“Tubular Snows” – 11 minutes
A group of methamphetamine-addicted pornographers transcend their experiences and come to terms with religion as they are persecuted for their unconventional life-styles in the outside world.
“Dallas” – 18 minutes
Conceptual artist Dallas Holfeltz lives life on the edge of convention: he portrays his daily life as if every moment is a moment of art. The climax and parallels between this open-ended opinion of perception clash with his friends and co-workers as a bizarre metaphor for social media in the age of the 21st century.
