Black Lizard

Black Lizard

Every third Wednesday of the month The Revival House presents the best in homo-grown cinema from decades past. Specializing in the unique, rare and obscure we screen long-forgotten Hollywood and Foreign flix, art-house hits, and erotic screen gems by directors such as Derek Jarman, Bruce La Bruce, Fred Halsted, and Robert Altman.

The series kicks off with a spectacular two-night, two-tone,  technicolor, “double-feature” in brilliant “Black” and shocking “Pink”.

Get ready for some kick-ass tranny action with the legendary Japanese film, Black Lizard (1968, Japanese w/Eng. subtitles).  Aptly dubbed “Nippon-Pop-Art-Chic”,  Black Lizard has it all – suspense, intrige, debauchery, and gorgeous gowns.  In the title role of the “Black Lizard”, tranny actress Akihiro Miwa is seductive, stunning, and dangerous. This film has rarely been screened in the U.S. but we’re bringing it to S.F. for one night only!

Doors open at 7:00.  Screening begins at 8:00. Admission is

$6.00 for single features and

$8.00 for the special, two-night “double-feature”.
