4th Annual Absolute Time Film Festival

Films from all over the world contemplating the relationship of labor and economics, the identity of individual to family and the struggle of Gay people for basic human rights, make-up the exciting array of films in the 4th Annual Absolute Time Film Festival.
TOP OF A CIRLCE kicks off the third and final day of festival. This short film by Shaz Bennett explores one womens search for meaning in childhood tragedy. Jean Strauss THE TRIUMVIRATE follows one womans search for her birth mother. M.R. Stiffs, WALK IN THE LIGHT is a documentary short film that explores a grass roots church and the spiritual life of its openly gay congregation. BROOKLYNS BRIDGE TO JORDAN, directed by Tina Mabry, is the story about how a lesbian woman, whose partner dies in a car crash, must fight her partners family to get custody of her son. SOMETHING OTHER THAN OTHER, directed by Jerry Henry and Andrea Chia is a parents search for identity of their multi-racial child. The final film, BULLETS IN THE HOOD, directed by Terrence Fisher and Daniel Howard is the story of gun violence in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood in New York. This short documentary has won numerous awards including a Sundance Film Festival Special Jury award.
