No Skin Off My Ass

Every third Wednesday of the month The Revival House presents the best in homo-grown cinema from decades past. Specializing in the unique, rare and obscure we screen long-forgotten Hollywood and Foreign flix, art-house hits, and erotic screen gems by filmmakers such as Derek Jarman, Bruce La Bruce, Fred Halsted, and Andy Warhol.

This month we present Bruce LaBruce’s lust masterpiece of skinhead love – No Skin Off My Ass

A flamboyant and verbally active hairdresser’s world is turned upside down when he falls for (and subsequently imprisons) a seemingly mute skinhead in this funny and stylized hardcore portrait of queer punks in love.

Heralding the wave of the “New Queer Cinema” of the 90’s, No Skin Off My Ass is a combination take off on the Altman film “That Cold Day in the Park” (1969) and exercise in gay porn as art house cinema.  Out of print in the U.S. this is a rare opportunity to check out the debut feature of this raunchy and wholly visionary queer filmmaker.
