Over 90% of all trade unionists assassinated in the world are killed in Colombia. The struggle of Colombian trade unionists in this atmosphere of violent state repression will be explored through presentations and short films. The films will include the short “State of the Union” and a video of personal testimony made by the Colombian union SINALTRAINAL. Colombian student-activist Camilo Romero and US union leader Mary Geddes will give presentations accompanying the films.
This is part of a week of action for Colombia sponsored by the Colombia Mobilization.
