An evening with Lev /

Thursday, January 1, 1970, 12:00 am, $5

Two-time Grand Prize Winner of the Short Attention Span Film & Video Festival, Lev started the popular independent website in 1999 and set forth producing some of the most original black humor movies on the internet. Attacking subjects like mass consumerism, American culture, alienation and self-respect, Lev is poignant without being preachy, and never forgets to be funny. His semi-animated series “Tales of Mere Existence”was an early darling of Atom Films, and became an unlikely cult hit. “FUN WITH ANXIETY AND POLITICS”will present works in animation, live action and puppetry, all with Lev’s sardonic but humanitarian world view.

“Lev has got to be one of the best little known artists in the Bay Area.” – Paul Marchant, Atlanta Film & Video Festival

“Not only is Lev an animated sage, he’s a one-man army waging war with the subtle hypocrisies of society. Tales of Mere Existence will have you pondering nothing like never before. A series to follow religiously.”–
