Join us for an evening of experimental sound art from students in the Digital Audio course ARTDM-130 at Diablo Valley College, taught by Gilbert Guerrero. Students will be presenting their final projects–work that draws from the swarm of media that surrounds us in movies, television, radio, and music, that has been mixed and mashed up in a healthy dose of Culture Jamming.

    Refreshments will be provided.

A video program curated by Maggie Foster and Catherine Czacki. The artists selected for this program use elements of the dark and the comic, the quiet and the hysteric. The work shows that what may be hysteria might also muse on quietude, what may frighten might also make one laugh.

Through the use of short, non-narrative video, these artists have found ways to illuminate such disparate themes, each lending their own process and unique execution to the individual works
