  • Three Shorts by Carlos Gonzalez: Bellevue (2018), Coitus Eruptus (2018), and The Auction (2018)

    Performance by Russian Tsarlag
Join us for a screening of three short films by the elusive Carlos Gonzalez. Bellevue follows a lonely hermit in his apartment; Coitus Eruptus is an absurd comedy about a sailor and a sea merchant; The Auction documents a bidding war for a green turtleneck. Dreamy, delirious, and delectably unpolished, Gonzalez’s camcorder shorts recall the threadbare romances of George Kuchar and John Waters.
A performance by Russian Tsarlag, Gonzalez’s alter ego, will follow the screening. Expect macabre slow jams and cryptic monologues.

  • You Are Loved No Matter How You Blossom

ATA Window Gallery presents Crystal Vielula’s You Are Loved No Matter How You Blossom
    May 9 – June 8, 2019

    Reception and performance: May 29, 2019, 6:30-9PM

Allow the time-traveling deities from planet Genera year 3060 welcome you into a new paradigm where genitals do not dictate your gender, interests, abilities, attractions or value.  This world is free from arbitrary hierarchies and repression, it’s a place where all people are loved and valued no matter how they blossom.

On May 29th there will be a performance with offerings and dance to urge the deities from the planet Genera to open the portal from our present reality of repression and antiquated thinking to their enlightened existence.  Their home is a place where everyone has value and is cared for.  It is filled with natural beauty and an overwhelming sense of happiness and ease.  When the portal is open you are invited to step into Utopia.
