We are filled with gratitude to the 140 (it was 127 when I started writing this post) community members who stepped forward in the past 24 hours since we launched our emergency fundraiser. We’re nearly half way to our audacious goal of $60,000, which will allow us to stay current with our portion of 992 Valencia’s rent and make a back rent payment of $45,000 by December 31… if not earlier, thanks to all of you.
We thank 992 anchor tenants 3rd i, Right Window, and Other Cinema, and fellow travelers San Francisco Cinematheque, The Lab, and Shapeshifters Cinema for spending time in conversation with us about this struggle –a struggle, we must point out, that we all share as resources dwindle for the arts in the Bay. We urge you to support this eco-system, yes, ATA, but support all of us because our origin stories and inflection points are intertwined.
Please help us amplify this campaign here, here, and here.
Organize your people (we’re already working with an ATA alum to put on a show in the neighborhood, but you know ATA. We do love a banger.).
Reach out to us with your ideas about what ATA means to you, and how you want us to show up in the future.
