Artists' Television Access

ATA Rent Emergency: Donate Now!

Artists Television Access has served artists for 40 years with a radical approach to access. Our storefront microcinema at 992 Valencia Street has served thousands of artists across all points of their careers, and served thousands of audiences seeking culturally-aware, underground media and experimental art. Run entirely by artist volunteers, ATA fosters a supportive community for the exhibition of innovative art and the exchange of non-conformist ideas.

And we can’t pay rent.

ATA’s landlord has been accepting partial rent since 2024, an act of compassion that has concluded. Worn too thin financially to continue in our current state, we have negotiated for rent forgiveness and a payment plan while doing the existential work of designing how ATA will sustainably serve community in the future.

Right now this means being a full partner to all the collectives who inhabit 992 Valencia Street: Other Cinema, Right Window, and 3rd i. Our ability to stay in place into 2026 is critical for these collectives and critical to us.

Please help us.

Today, we are asking for your support to help us to meet our obligations. We have a back rent payment of $45,000 due in December, and rent of $5,657.73 due in November and again in December. We are covering utilities with box office, facility rental fees, employee matching grants, and general operating support from San Francisco Grants for the Arts.

Donations in any amount matter! We thank you for your support.

¡viva ATA!
