Performance by Russian Tsarlag
Join us for a screening of three short films by the elusive Carlos Gonzalez. Bellevue follows a lonely hermit in his apartment; Coitus Eruptus is an absurd comedy about a sailor and a sea merchant; The Auction documents a bidding war for a green turtleneck. Dreamy, delirious, and delectably unpolished, Gonzalez’s camcorder shorts recall the threadbare romances of George Kuchar and John Waters.
A performance by Russian Tsarlag, Gonzalez’s alter ego, will follow the screening. Expect macabre slow jams and cryptic monologues.
