WEST COAST PREMIERE!
Q&A WITH DIRECTOR ERIC GREEN HOSTED BY DENNIS THE MENACE!
In 1985, during the height of the music video craze, a free music video UHF-TV channel appeared in the Boston market, only to disappear from the airwaves after 18 months. Nearly 30 years later, the fans remain and memories of this channel have formed an important place in 80s nostalgia. Life On The V: The Story Of V66 is the story of that channel, V66. Dennis “The Menace” Scheyer was a co-host of the Sunday night Dance/Rock/Artist Interview show on Boston’s #1 radio station KISS-108, Boston when Arnie “Woo Woo” Ginsburg and John Garabadian started V-66, so he knows the story intimately. Some 30 years later he’s still supporting musicians with two syndicated radio shows (www.menaceattic.com) and as Founder/Creative Director of a new content/engagement/radio thing called PopCult that is not run by computers or algorithms.
Q & A with Dennis “The Menace” Scheyer, San Francisco-based syndicated radio host who was on the air KISS-108, Boston in the 80’s when V-66 was on the air. (FYI; John Garabedian and Arnie “Woo Woo” Ginsburg who founded V-66 were from KISS-108 too!) Directed by: ric Green. 2014. Digital. 96minutes.
