Chris Lynn will be curating short films to present with the theme of water

 Avant-garde cellist Janel Leppin crosses genre boundaries in her live performance work, Her Tail Was Cut in Two.  Adapting her sound with electronics, Leppin winds through a variety of territories, showing where she has been in her extensive musical training as well as where she is going. The suite brings out her versatile interests in which she composes for analog equipment, alongside acoustic and electric instruments, to create soundscapes interwoven with jagged contemporary jaunts and turntable collage, dream-pop vocal works, Persian classical glimpses, and psychedelic reveries. 

Chris H. Lynn is a  filmmaker, sound artist, educator, and curator. His digital images and super 8 films capture the subtle rhythms of light, movement,  and sound in urban and rural landscapes.  His work has been screened in a variety of venues including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C,   the BFI in London, England, and the Anthology Film Archives in New York City. In addition, the International Streaming Festival in the Netherlands have added a number of his films to their permanent collection. His sound work consists of field recordings, minimal compositions, and audio from his films. His  work has been released on various net labels and featured on Framework radio.  Chris also curates the Experimental Film Program “Urban/Rural Landscapes” for the Utopia Film Festival in Greenbelt, Md and has curated the Takoma Park Experimental film festival in Maryland 2010. He also has programed films for Sonic Circuits monthly showcase at Pyramid Atlantic Gallery in Silver Spring, Md.
