This month’s shorts explore relationships — relationships between childhood cartoon icons, eerie relationships with ghosts, and some seriously complicated relationships with a sandwich, just to name a few. We all know that “queer” is an umbrella term, but the curators at Periwinkle think you should know that “friend” is, too. For example, sometimes seemingly benign objects you thought were your friend are actually praying for your death — or sometimes they’re just waiting to get a little friendlier than usual with you.
