**”Voices From the Alley” is a performance that took place on January 21, 2005 in a Mission District Alley in San Francisco. It was performed in response to the anti-abortion march that took place in San Francisco the following day. The performance aimed to serve as a reminder and a memorial to women who had suffered from illegal “back alley” abortions in the days before Roe vs. Wade.Produced by: Hillary Baker and William Benham
**”Caterpillar Action”
documents a community action in San Leandro protesting the Caterpillar corporation’s continuing sales of bulldozers to the U.S. Department of Defense. The action was organized by Jewish Voices for Peace, and took place on the 2nd anniversary of the death of Rachel Corrie, an activist killed by a Caterpillar D9 bulldozer while defending the home of a palestinian civilian in 2003. **”ALL Women’s ACTION to Save the Old Growth forests of the SISKIYOU WILD RIVERS AREA” Produced by: Pat Patterson, Justin Rhode, Mary Dodd On March 14th, 2005 dozens of women prepared their defenses outside the Fiddler Old Growth Reserve to protest the logging of critical areas within the Siskiyou Wild Rivers area in southern Oregon. This all-women’s action was the fourth major demonstration against the Biscuit Logging Plan since logging began within old growth reserves April 7th 2005. Eighteen women on the bridge and Becky White, hanging off the bridge beneath the women sat blocking logging trucks for nearly 7 hours. 3 additional women formed a separate blockade a few miles up the road. Twenty-two women were arrested. A new base camp has been set up on the Illinois River Road a few miles from Selma Oregon. For more info go to

**”The Forest for the Trees: Judi Bari vs the FBI” trailer for this upcoming documentary by filmmaker Bernadine Mellis, about the life of Earth First organizer Judi Bari. In 1990, Bari’s car was bombed and she was accused of transporting the
explosives that had nearly killed her. Still in the hospital, she was arrested, and labeled a terrorist in the national media.”The Forest for the Trees” follows the bombing and arrest of Judi Bari, and her subsequent civil suit against the FBI. Bari died of Cancer before the trial was finished, but was victorious when her pre-recorded video testimony was presented in court.

**”Banana Bred” is a personal narrative, commenting on race and cultural identity in America. Filmmaker Hettie Zhang explores her own identity in this short film.
