 ROCK THAT UKE
The ukulele is more than a tiny musical instrument. It’s a state of mind.
This eccentric documentary examines the mystical allure of this
four-stringed underdog and the recent surge of post-punk musicians who have
taken up the instrument as a counter cultural statement. From the
traditional to the distorted, today’s ukulele players have tapped into a
raucous and irreverent source of irony, angst and impotent rage. Dir.
William Preston Robertson and Sean Anderson, USA 2002, 75 min.

ANGEL OF LOVE
Outsider music has no better representative than B.J. Snowden, a substitute
teacher who writes and sings songs about Canada and the U.S. Navy. Dir. Doug
Stone, USA 2002, 21 min.
