Choose Your Own Adventure: A Day in the Life of

by Kathleen Quillian

Confessions of a closet square. At first I was ecstatically amused at becoming one of "those" people who lives in the suburbs, has a full time job in the city, health insurance, houseplants and a nearly complete set of kitchen utensils. After some time perhaps the spell has subsided, but it is still relatively fascinating to be completely immersed in the routines of an upwardly mobile society and at the same time utterly aware of the absurdity which propels it.

Here I present a sort of anthropological database of daily life, acquired over several weeks of "field observation." I invite you to create your own adventure by sorting through these images using your own patterns of interest.

Kathleen Quillian is a genius in disguise, masquerading as an unmasker of disguised geniuses.
