PickAxe
An arsonist burns 9000 acres of protected old-growth public forest in Oregon that cannot be logged unless it burns. This video chronicles the struggle of citizens to stop the salvage logging. Citizens blockaded a road for eleven months. They built a fort across the road, dug deep trenches, built teepees and stayed through a winter of snow; all while opposing timber sales through out the state. The video shows confrontation with loggers, mass arrests, seventy-five day hunger strike and a mass jail break.
Directed by Tim Ream and Tim Lewis (Filmmakers in person) 95 mins

Supplanter
Supplanter is a visual language system. This system is founded in concept upon the mythologized processes of nature collaged with the archaic symbols of inner drama that are at play in the collective unconscious of the media age.
In form, Supplanter is based on the relationship of the image to the spoken and written word, as well as the grammatical possibilities of motion picture design. The visual compositions are set in motion by James Short and juxtaposed against elaborate soundtracks by electronic musician Timothy Daniel.
