RANK/XEROX are a somewhat new band from San Francisco. The Guardian described them as 'Messthetics post-punk', which is probably not the worst description, although what is Messthetics again? The sound is sturm und clang, wire on concrete, post-post-punk, pop fracture, located somewhere between LA and San Francisco, hopefully on dry land. They have been featured on a split cassette with SF dreamboats Grass Widow and now have a debut four-song 7" to throw in the river, equal parts scratchers and (S)creamers.
