DIGNIDAD Y RESISTENCIA: A Night of Antifa Performance Art & Kinetic Sculpture in Honor of René Yañez.

Tuesday, February 5, 2019, 7:30 pm

With Balitronica Gomez – Marshall Weber – Guillermo Gomez Pena – Maria Veronica San Martin

And a film about Rene’s life by Louis DeMattheis.
Brought together by their love and respect for acclaimed California artist and curator René Yañez (1942-2018), this
global dream team of enigmatic artists are performing together, solo and collaboratively, for the first time.
Chilean activist historian and Booklyn artist María Verónica San Martín comes to S.F. with elements from her recent
major exhibit at the National Archive of Chile in Santiago, which she uses to symbolicly deconstruct the Nazi run
Colonia Dignidad cult torture village (now re-branded as Villa Baviera) still operating in Chile.
ATA and Booklyn co-founder Marshall Weber channels an Antifa curse on neo-Nazis.
Poet/artist Balitronica Gómez and MacArthur Genius Award Winner Guillermo Gómez-Peña (members of the
notorious Pocha Nostra performance group) will obliterate normative culture and dismantle political borders.
Donations at entry will go to ATA and René Presente! an affinity group formed to continue the Mission of René Yañez.
