In 1996 a young writer, Eddy Joe Cotton, hopped a freight train looking for adventure. He found it in a friendship with a San Francisco based filmmaker and a poet. With the techcrunch still over the horizon and the Bay Area underground thriving, their friendship blossomed out of cruising the streets in an old Ford Galaxie 500 and making short films of whatever life offered. This creative bond between friends unexpectedly evolved into a jug band while on a road trip to Oregon and grew into an internationally touring “vaudeville” show. Come experience the hijinks behind the scenes of the Yard Dogs in this fun filled documentary featuring appearances by Ken Kesey, Michael Franti, Bassnectar, Speed Levitch and members of Beats Antique. Directed by leudujon and Zebu Recchia, 98min, USA/2016.
