Amma Ateria (Jeanie Aprille Tang) is a sound artist and electroacoustic composer, born in Hong Kong, based in California. Her practice in sound examines the coexistence of polarity in the sonic spectrum. With an immediacy of tension and release through spatialization, her performance consist an intention to expand physicality in the human experience, navigated by cross-modal synesthetic influences from the contemporary moment. Thus the movements in sound expose her body’s visceral resonance in polar opposites, examining boundaries and brinks of sonic breakage via saturated transitions of stark polarities. With memories of condensed cities, she gravitates to frequencies of close-ranged airplanes, inaudible conversations, out of body experiences, sustained harmonics intersected with musique concrète, and synthesized speed of air with various colours of noise.

John Davis is a Northern California musician and visual artist building on the relationship between moving image and sound through live performance and studio-based works. Employing chance and collaborative exchange as regular means for creative expression, John mishandles stringed and percussive instruments, keyboards, field recordings, magnetic tape and various electronic music circuits. In addition to releasing music on his imprint Bimodal Press, John has releases on the Root Strata, Digitalis, Students of Decay and Peasant Magik labels in the US.www.noiseforlight.com

Taunting all humankind, Angst Hase Pfeffer Nase is Chris Cooper and Jess Goddard’s lovingly withering critique of fear’s own coping mechanism: logic. Mindful of human cowardice, AHPN myofascializes weak forces with stronger, directing gravity through their own hands onto heaps of pie cutters, spinning tops, stiff brushes, long strings, and power amplifiers so as to embolden all who must one day perish.
