HOME MOVIES FROM HELL is an ongoing series of short films. These films fluctuate between instinctual and scripted methods. They often take commercial genre as a starting point: “the bio-pic”, “the horror flick” or, “the literary movie”. It was my intention to deviate from these points of origin. I didn’t fetishize outcome. The films are messy. I view every action as a potential mistake. — Ryan Van Runkle
