“Looks of Distress” is inspired by Butoh, a Japanese form of dance involving a diverse range of movement and expressions.  Butoh is famously known for being unclassifiable and raw.  In this show, the artist will explore the expressions of Butoh through a series of drawings in hopes of capturing the fine line between distress and poise.

David Tenorio is a practicing artist based in Oakland, CA.  He currently works as an illustrator in gaming and films.  In his personal work, his pieces are expressionistic in mark and figurative in content.  Common themes include fragility, intimidation, and danger.
