Set in 60’s Hong Kong, the film centers around a woman and a man, both married, whose friendship is kindled by the strange circumstances in which they find themselves. Shot in rich, heavy color, which has become one of Wong Kar Wai’s trademark features, the film is visually gorgeous. The story, poignant and full of longing. Starring two of the most respected actor/actresses in Chinese cinema, Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung (who actually won Best Actor at the Cannes for his role in the film). Running time is 98 minutes with English subtitles.
