ATA and Shalo P present:
IN 2013, A YEAR AFTER THE APOCALYPSE, CODE V HAS GRANTED VAMPIRES HUMAN RIGHTS ALLOWING THEM TO WALK AMONG THE LIVING. THIS EARTH SHATTERING FILM FOLLOWS THE NOTORIOUS 90S ALL GIRL VAMPIRE-HARDCORE BAND…

The conceptual lovechild of three exciting bay area artists – Tucker Bennett, Taeer Maymon & Zach Shipko – BLOODRAPE follows the gruesome journey of an “all-girl-vampire-hardcore-thrash-punk band” as they eviscerate their way across a twisted American landscape, enlisting two counter-culture fans along the way to document a big sensational dip into the deep red bliss that is BLOODRAPE.

Like a sexploitative parody of underground “scene” documentaries, BLOODRAPE plays out both comically self-effacing, sincerely strung together by the sinews of self-determination AND paradoxically as a sincere homage to the institutions of nipple pizza, blood cocaine, clay genitals, children being boiled upside-down (not in the movie), hardcore grrrls and an immoral love for irrelevant VHS camcorders.

THE DEVIL MADE THEM DO IT AND IT SENT ITS CHILDREN TO BE CAST AS BLOOD-SOAKED ANGELS.

See a veritable “who’s who” of body parts splash like “Pollacks on a canvas” – with wild surprises and some awfully poignant gore, critics have described BLOODRAPE as an “unforgivingly errant exercise in new maverick Bay Area filmmaking”.

The program also includes a selection of “choice cuts” organized by  Shalo P – as the night leads up to a appointed “live” appearance by BLOODRAPE (IN THE FLESH).
