WITH:

MATT WOLF:

SMALLTOWN BOYS – 21min – 2003

The historical relationship between AIDS activist artist David Wojnarowicz and Sarah Rosenberg, a fictional teenage lesbian from New York’s Upper West Side are imagined in this experimental documentary.

MIKE KUCHAR:

THE PICTURES OF DORIAN GAY23 min – 1995

Paint drips and body fluids ooze in this “tell all” and “hide nothing” documentary about two San Francisco males.

BLUE BANSHEE -14.3 min – 1994

Commissioned to be a “promo” for a loud punk rock band, Mr. Kuchar feared that the noise the band made would spoil the mood of his visuals, so he used the sound of a lush orchestra to score the picture and the antics.

THE STONE BOY – 6 minutes – 2011

New work!

CHRIS VARGAS:

LIBERACEÓN – 15 min – 2011

Rescripts the biography of Liberace—the late, flamboyant yet closeted, and apolitical pop pianist—in order to insert him into a queer history of radical AIDS/HIV activism.
