Join us for an advanced screening of the upcoming Wholphin No 8. The screening will include Oscar-nominated actor and artist James Franco shoving a broken lamp down his pants and head mounting a bed as he meticulously explores the outer reaches of his psyche through the child-like catharsis of trashing a bedroom. It is a jaw-dropping and brutally intense performance. And that¹s just the beginning. Next comes Lauren Greenfield¹s deeply disturbing, hilarious, and timely documentary, kids + money, followed by this year¹s Sundance Short Award winner, the touching Short Term 12. Later, The Office¹s Creed Bratton walks on screen, accuses you of crimes against his cat, and takes a hammer to a bedroom. For the piece de resistance, we present Carlos D from Interpol¹s gorgeously-shot, surrealist dreamscape, My Friend¹s Told Me About You, which is a piece of art in and of itself and convinced our editors that short filmmaking might be the new indie rock. Oh, and then Maria Bamford takes off her clothes, screams, and destroys a bedroom. And of course there will be more.
