Light F/X: a continuous video cycle by Rudy Lemcke

Light F/X is a cycle of short video experiments on the themes of light and shadow. Balinese shadow puppets, cameraless video manipulation, and Hollywood special effects are some of the techniques explored in this series. Created to be viewed in a gallery setting the cycle will be screened in large format projection at ATA, throughout the day.

Light F/X has been screened recently at Stonybrook University, New York (2003) and at SUNY Farmingdale, New York (2004).

Rudy Lemcke’s visual art has been widely exhibited in the Bay Area and thoughout the United States including venues such as: The University Art Gallery, Berkeley, The DeYoung Museum, San Francisco, The Whitney Museum of American Art (as part of Group Material), and other galleries and art spaces throughout the U.S.
