Join the Courier Disaster Response Team as we eat pizza and watch videos that will help us understand exactly what we would be facing after a disaster. Upon viewing the Disaster Psychology you will be able to name the various ways people cope when faced with unsettling events, as well as gain a reality check as to what it”s really like amid chaos. After this 30-minute video, we will hold a brief discussion and answer any questions. Plus a surprise video .
The Courier Disaster Response Team (CDRT) is a team of over 150 dedicated bike messengers and cyclists who are training in first aid/ CPR and disaster preparedness/ response. We do this in order to assist with the everyday emergencies we come across as well as aid our City post disaster by delivering vital supplies and equipment when the streets are impassable and normal communications are inoperable.
For more information on the CDRT, email sf_cdt@yahoo.com or visit www.it.isdangerous.com
