Rotunda: Power – Stage 1 includes two sculptures by media artist and writer, Molly
Hankwitz, which connect the body to the idea of ethics and the pleasure of
personal solitude. Using the visual metaphor of a ball of string, “Warball”
articulates the presence of power and silence in the realm of the feminine.
(2006, used plastic bags, wooden chair) “Waterfall” is about transparency and
the surface of things in nature (2006, plastic sheeting, pins, thread, glue,
detritus).
