4:00 pm PIXIES – GOUGE
Remember the first time you heard the Pixies? After five years and five
albums of their unique combination of surf music, punk rock and 50’s rock
‘n’ roll, the band broke up leaving behind a legacy which influenced a
generation of artists from Nirvana to Radiohead. This documentary
incorporates dynamic Pixies performance footage with interviews from the
likes of Bono, Thom Yorke, Blur, PJ Harvey, Steve Albini and, of course, the
band themselves. Dir. Matt Quinn, England 2001, 50 min.
