Every street of the Mission District has a Beauty Salon. Because the concept of Beauty is something cultural, the immigrant that comes from outside feels the impulse to create or reinvent places where to capture this concept of beauty. In this case the Beauty Salon is a space where people from the same cultural background can interact with each other.

Chandelier is a hanging sculpture that explores contradictory ideas. By covering the hairdryers with unexpected material I want to change the normal appearance of objects, playing with contradictory ideas. These objects, like toys, are a way of examining the world in a playful way.
